Employer Access Tip:
Continue to report members who have reached the Tier 2 Wage Cap

For 2014, Tier 2 member wages do not include compensation in excess of $110,631.26. When a member reaches the wage cap for the year, you should:

Stop withholding IMRF contributions for him or her
Continue to report earnings only for any wages that exceed the 2014 cap

This ensures that members continue to receive appropriate service credit and that IMRF has complete information for each member in case of future adjustments or changes.

August Board Meeting Highlights

At the August Board meeting, the Board:

Reviewed the results of the annual CEM Benchmarking study.
Approved a new approach to endorsing long-term care insurance.
Approved the 2014 Illinois Economic Opportunity Investment Report.
